Today the Norwegian Public Roads Administration notified Veidekke and NCC that the companies may be excluded from competing for this year's asphalt contracts in North and South Trøndelag.
"We perceive the notification from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration as a perpetuation of the considerations the Norwegian Public Roads Administration presented one year ago. We fail to recognise that the basis for such a decision exists, and will therefore contest the decision. We will, however, study the content of the notification before making further statements," says Senior Vice President Communication, Kai Krüger Henriksen of Veidekke.
Just over two years ago Veidekke approached the Norwegian Competition Authority with information that illegal price-fixing may have taken place, and the Competition Authority has stated that a decision is pending in the matter, where Veidekke is afforded full immunity from sanctions.
