Senzime: Senzime's on-line glucose monitoring instrument enters market introduction stage

Glucose monitoring in pharmaceutical production processes
The need for continuous monitoring of production processes in drug development and large scale drug manufacturing is big and increasing, driven by the strong underlying trend of the pharmaceutical industry to more and more introduce biotechnology as the main production method.

Today's market for bioreactors and fermentation equipment is worth billions of SEK annually. However, to lower production costs and improve productivity customers are seeking new monitoring devices that can measure glucose and other metabolite levels continuously, cost effectively and with high precision. SENZ-100G has been developed to meet these specific customer demands.

During 2009 and 2010, SENZ-100G has been tested by end-customers - large pharmaceutical companies in The Netherlands and in Sweden. Experiences from these tests have led to a number of modifications of the instrument. Senzime has been working hard towards the goal of bringing its instrument to the market during 2010 and the fact that Applikon now has decided to officially present SENZ-100G, marks its official launch. Hereby, Senzime has achieved one of its main objectives for 2010.

Senzime will continue to work closely with Applikon Biotechnology to further support the market introduction of SENZ-100G.
